Know which documents are still missing.
Replace a long attachment thread with a named checklist. Give each document its own place and see what arrived without comparing email subjects.
Create your first request →Ask for the document, not a vague category.
‘Send your records’ is hard to act on. Specify the document, relevant period, format, and any information that should be removed before sharing.
- Expense summary for the agreed reporting period
- Income summary with a consistent date range
- Supporting documents for specific questions
- A note explaining missing or unavailable records
A simple upload experience.
Clients can upload PDF, PNG, JPEG, DOC, DOCX, and ZIP files up to 10 MB each. Put related documents in a ZIP where appropriate. Keep a separate request item for each document that must be tracked independently.
Keep sensitive information proportionate.
Ask only for the information needed for the engagement. Explain when clients should redact unnecessary identifiers. A request link gives its holder access to the request, so use a different, appropriately controlled channel when your engagement requires stricter recipient verification or a regulated document workflow.
Review is still your responsibility.
An uploaded file completes the collection item; it does not prove that a document is correct or sufficient. Review each submission and agree with the client on any corrections. Rosfish tracks collection, while your professional judgment handles the underlying work.
A clear list.
A little less friction.
Your client sees the business requesting information, the items still needed, and the progress they’ve made. Responses save as they work. No client account required.
